You can set up your chat widget by going to the Settings screen in your admin back end once you have access to your Civilized site and grab the one line of code that you need to add to your website.
Squarespace
Go to: Settings → Advanced → Code Injection → Footer
Paste the code snippet from the Settings page on your Civilized site. This embeds the widget site-wide. Code Injection requires a Business plan or above. The widget may not appear in the editor preview — check after publishing.
For a single page only, use Add Block → Code and paste the same snippet inline.
Wix
Go to: Settings → Custom Code → + Add Custom Code
Paste the code snippet from the Settings page on your Civilized site, then set:
- Add Code to Pages → All Pages
- Place Code in → Body - end
Hit Apply. Custom Code requires a paid plan (Core or above). The widget won't appear in the Wix editor — check after publishing. If it doesn't load, check the browser console for CSP errors and ask Wix support to whitelist chat.civilized.ai.
For a single page only, use Add Elements → Embed & Social → Custom Embeds → Embed a Widget and paste the snippet there.
